Your PDF is processed securely and automatically deleted after processing. Your file never leaves your device.
How the PDF to PowerPoint Converter works
- Your PDF is parsed in the browser by PDF.js, the same engine Firefox uses for its built-in PDF viewer.
- In editable mode, text is extracted from each page with its position and placed on slides as editable text boxes. Scanned pages are detected automatically and processed with built-in OCR (Tesseract.js).
- In visual mode, each page is rendered as a high-resolution image and placed as a full-slide background, preserving the exact appearance.
- The result is packaged as a standard .pptx file using the PptxGenJS library, ready to download and present.

Useful tips
- Use editable mode when you need to change the content; use one-slide-per-page mode when you need the presentation to look exactly like the PDF.
- Scanned PDFs are handled automatically — OCR runs on pages with no selectable text.
- Choose Widescreen 16:9 for modern presentations; Standard 4:3 for older templates.
- Complex layouts may need manual formatting after conversion — the tool prioritises correct page order and complete coverage over pixel-perfect editability.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PDF to PowerPoint?+
Upload your PDF, choose your conversion mode and PowerPoint options, then click Convert to PowerPoint. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and the PPTX file is offered as a download.
Can I convert a PDF into an editable PowerPoint?+
Yes. The editable mode extracts text from each PDF page and places it on slides as editable text boxes, positioned to match the original layout. You can click into any text box in PowerPoint and edit it directly. Complex layouts may require some manual formatting after conversion.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to PowerPoint?+
Yes. The converter detects scanned PDFs automatically and applies OCR to recognise text from page images before creating slides. If OCR cannot extract usable text from a page, that page is reported as skipped rather than producing an empty slide.
Will the formatting be preserved?+
The editable mode preserves text content, reading order and approximate positioning. Complex formatting like exact fonts, colours, multi-column layouts and intricate spacing may not carry over perfectly — the focus is on giving you editable slides you can reformat. The visual mode preserves the exact appearance of each page as a full-slide image.
Can I convert a multi-page PDF?+
Yes. Each PDF page becomes a corresponding slide in the presentation, with page order preserved. The tool reports how many pages were converted successfully and lists any pages that could not be converted.
Will images and tables be converted?+
In editable mode, text is extracted and positioned on slides. Images can be included as page backgrounds behind the text. Tables are converted as positioned text, which preserves the layout but may need manual adjustment in PowerPoint. In visual mode, all images and tables are preserved exactly as part of the page image.
What PowerPoint format will I receive?+
You get a standard .pptx file that opens in Microsoft PowerPoint, PowerPoint Online, Google Slides, LibreOffice Impress and any modern presentation software. The file is named after your original PDF — for example, business-report.pdf becomes business-report.pptx.
Is PDF to PowerPoint free?+
The tool is usage-limited rather than unlimited free. You get a limited number of free conversions per day, and your allowance is checked before processing. For more conversions and higher usage limits, upgrade to Pro.
