Image Resizer

Drop an image and resize it three ways: enter exact pixel dimensions with optional aspect-ratio lock, pick a percentage (25%, 50%, 75% or custom), or choose a platform preset for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Website or Email. You can also save your own named presets for later use. Everything runs locally in your browser — your image never leaves your device.

How the Image Resizer works

  • Your image is loaded into an in-browser canvas — nothing is uploaded.
  • Resize by exact pixels (with optional aspect-ratio lock), by percentage, or by a platform preset.
  • Crop to fill or fit inside, with an optional background colour for padding.
  • Set a quality level for the output, then resize and download.
  • Save your own named custom presets — they stay in your browser for next time.

Useful tips

  • Lock the aspect ratio when resizing by pixels to avoid stretching or squashing the image.
  • Use platform presets to get the exact dimensions social networks expect without looking them up.
  • Save custom presets for sizes you use often — they persist across visits in the same browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?+

No. The image is loaded and resized entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

How do I resize by exact pixels?+

Enter a width and height in pixels. Toggle the aspect-ratio lock to keep the original proportions — changing one dimension automatically updates the other.

How does percentage resizing work?+

Pick 25%, 50%, 75% or enter a custom percentage. Both dimensions scale by that factor, so a 2000×1000 image at 50% becomes 1000×500.

What presets are available?+

Instagram (square, portrait, landscape, story, profile), Facebook (cover, profile, link post), LinkedIn (cover, profile, link post), YouTube (thumbnail, banner, profile), Website (hero, standard, thumbnail) and Email (header, full-width, thumbnail). Choose Custom to enter your own dimensions.

Can I save my own presets?+

Yes. Choose the Custom platform, enter your dimensions, name the preset and click Save. Your presets are stored in your browser and remain available on future visits.

What's the difference between crop and fit?+

Crop fills the target frame by trimming the edges; fit keeps the whole image inside the frame with a coloured background padding.
